This is certainly an interesting flavour, perhaps not as versatile as other butterscotch flavours due to the smokey aspect, but it’s an excellent choice for numerous profiles – Tobaccos, coffees, certain bakery and dessert flavours, and even worthwhile exploring for various booze recipes.

Flavour Notes - Description

A clean smoked woody flavour with no ash or dirty elements. It’s sweet, soft and buttery with a dollop of vanilla, and wonderful dark sugary notes; Flavorah’s caramel is like that too,  lots of yummy brown sugar.

It’s somewhere between a regular butterscotch (as with Flv plain butterscotch) and a candy variety. There’s a sense of warmth here that stems from the smoke which would seem a fusion of mild hickory and something like oak.

Although Flavorah do not add diketones such as Acetyl Propionyl & Diacetyl, the butter must come from somewhere. So, I’m certain there’s some Butyric Acid in the mix. That’s fine with me, gotta love the butter.

 Pairings and Uses

Tobaccos are a no brainer, and for lighter mixes, this can help elevate an RY4 recipe. Coffee vapes work wonderfully too but keep percentages fairly low, and try to work in some creams also. Ice creams can do with small percentages of smoked butterscotch, as can various bakery flavours, alcohol vapes and darker fruits.
