Flavorah Vanilla Custard

Flavorah is one of the newer flavouring companies specifically designed for vaping; and yes, they’re super handy in the kitchen too!  They produce excellent quality flavours and are very transparent about ingredients. Their Vanilla Custard is certainly one of my favourites.

Safety Data Sheet (SDS – MSDS)

Flavorah do not add Diacetyl or Acetyl Propionyl (a/k/a 2,3-pentanedione) to any of their products, but diacetyl and/or acetyl propionyl may naturally occur in the flavor extraction process in some of their products. Acetoin is used in the compounding of some of their products.

This is one of my main go-to custards, and although it’s lighter than Capellas, it has superb vanilla notes and overall balance. Depending on the application, it may need some extra dairy, but before you decide, make sure you’ve tested it solo after a decent steep.

Overview

This is on par with the best custards made, no matter the brand or type, and has some of the nicest vanilla notes I’ve tasted. Although its applications are vast, this really shines when paired with bakeries such as Inawera biscuit or FA’s Cookie.

Flavour Description – Notes

A soft mouthfeel, offering a true semi-sweet custard with a wonderful buttery, creamy element wrapped in a well-balanced vanilla. There seems to be a very subtle nutty note in the background too.

If I had to choose one custard it would be difficult. FlavourArt custard is excellent too, although the lemon zest can be an issue depending on one’s intentions. Oh, Inawera is superb also so best get all three!
