Selecting your first e-liquid flavours

Let us look at choosing our first bottles of e-juice, and if finances permit, it may be best to grab more than one. Those new to vaping often experience some level of uncertainty when trying to select e-liquid flavours, particularly when purchasing online, and especially if one has never vaped before.

Besides, if you fancy apple pie and ice cream, does that mean you’ll enjoy vaping it?

So, I use to smoke Marlboro lights, what now?

Some find it difficult to equate an offering of chocolate cake with vaping, while others may frown at the thought of strawberries. Perhaps a shot or two of Rum is more your style, in the form of vapour naturally. And let us not forget all the yummy fruits and beverages to explore. Yes, the choices are overwhelming, as there’s likely more flavours out there than you’ve ever imagined.

Most flavours fall under 7 categories

Tobaccos – Fruits – Beverages – Desserts – Candy – Bakery – Alcohols. Then we have what I call fusions, or blends of multiple types. This is my happy place.

What's on your plate?

Many new to vaping are fixated on tobacco, but there are other flavours you simply must explore. Irrespective of what type of tobacco you smoked, vaping is not just about tobacco. Think about the desserts and fruits you enjoy. How about a slice of cake with a dollop or two of whipped cream?

Maybe you have a favourite cocktail you’d like to vape. Bourbons, Rums and whiskeys are frequently found in my DIY e-liquids, although I tend to blend them with tobaccos and or coffees.

I cannot over-emphasise the importance of experimenting and having additional flavours at hand. Some find Vaping only tobaccos to be boring, which can be counter-productive. Research suggests that a variety of flavours are beneficial to the transition process, and thus ultimately quitting smoking for good.

Although an e-liquid flavour can come really close to its organic counterpart, there are obvious differences. The flavour’s there, but often there’s a noticeable lack of texture. It may take a few days to get used to this, but there’s certainly many flavours out there you will enjoy.

Testing Various e-liquid Flavours

If you’re forced to order online, try some sample packs if they’re available. This is a great way to get a few flavours in one order. However, it’s always best to test a few flavours before handing over your hard earned dollars, so if possible visit a vape shop, meet with us, or ask a fellow vaper if you can try some flavours.

Much like a vape shop, we offer a free service for smokers who wish to experiment with vaping. You can try a variety of suitable e-cigarettes, AKA vapes, and sample an assortment of flavours. An-invitation-to-experience-vaping

Maximise your satisfaction

Vaping should be as enjoyable as possible, and this is how it keeps us away from combustible tobacco. Finding an e-cig that works for you is fairly simple, but when it comes to flavours, this is how we ultimately gauge the level of satisfaction.

I’m often surprised by how creative some companies are with flavour combinations. But bacon and eggs, pizza or peanut butter and jelly!? Whatever you want it’s probably out there. But please, do your taste buds a favour, save the bacon and eggs for breakfast.
